From the Airports

When you arrive at any of the major airports you will have many different travel options available to you. You can take a train, bus,rent a car or hire a private taxi to bring you directly to Hakuba. You can also change money and rent a mobile phone. But if you are arriving late at night, most places ill be closed, so please arrange the essentials before you leave your native country. There are also couriers (takyubin) if you wish to send your ski equipment to Alpine Wind Hakuba while you do some site seeing along the way.

Private Taxi

Private Taxi

The most direct route to Hakuba is by Taxi.I know what you're thinking, but it isn't so expensive. This is a private Nagano city taxi, it's more like a mini van, so don't make the mistake of getting into any old taxi. This service is by booking only and it only runs from Narita and Centrair Airports. This service has to be booked about a week in advance of your trip. If you don't feel that you can book the Taxi yourself, please feel free to ask us for help.The Chuo taxi service number is (81)-262-82-0232.

From Narita Airport (Tokyo)

From Narita Airport (Tokyo)

When you arrive at Narita take the Narita Express to either Tokyo or Shinjuku Station. From there you will have the option of taking a train or a bus. From these stations you will be able to go just about anywhere in Japan. If you're still unsure your best bet is to ask someone at the airport information desk before you leave the airport.

From Centrair (Nagoya)

From Centrair (Nagoya)

When you arrive at Nagoya you want to get on the Nagoya Railroad and go to Nagoya station. From there you can catch the Shinkansen (bullet train) or take a number of JR lines. There are also buses that will take you to either Matsumoto or Nagano, both around one hour from Hakuba. And from there it is easy to catch a bus or train to Hakuba.

From Kansai (Osaka)

From Kansai (Osaka)

When you arrive at Kansai Airport you should get on the JR west Kansai Airport Line. This will take you to Osaka and Kyoto stations. From these stations you have the option of taking a Shinkansen (bullet train) or a JR train.There are also buses that will take you to either Matsumoto or Nagano, both around one hour from Hakuba. From there it is easy to catch a bus or train to Hakuba.
